Many sites use CTSdatabase for prescreen detection of professional subjects, before they even begin screening procedures.  This is especially necessary in areas with high concentrations of investigative sites, such as Southern California or Southern Florida.

A generic prescreen version of the Subject Database Authorization is used, and can be approved by any IRB or can be expedited and low-cost using IRBco.

Site personnel simply have the subject complete the authorization in the waiting room – afterwards, they check the CTS website, and are immediately presented with access to information detailing when, where, and for what indication the subject has previously participated in other studies.

Elimination of duplicate subjects with prescreen use of CTSdatabase is a real benefit at PSSVs and is often a contributing factor to site selection.

Sites pay a nominal fee for unlimited use of CTSdatabase to prescreen subjects; often this cost is reimbursed by sponsors.
